Thriving Remotely: Cameron Weston's Journey with Geeks on Tap at Workspace Barossa

In today's ever-evolving work landscape, remote work has become a way of life for many. Meet Cameron Weston, a dedicated desk member at Workspace Barossa, who's found his stride in remote work while serving his employer, Geeks on Tap.

Let's dive into Cameron's experiences, challenges, and the role Workspace Barossa plays in his journey.

Hi Cam! Thanks for sharing a little more about what you do! First of all, what inspires you in your work?

"New challenges inspire me. Each project brings its own set of intricacies, allowing me to constantly learn and grow."

What are the best bits of your job?

"I find immense satisfaction knowing our customers experience the immediate benefits of our work. Geeks On Tap are Web/Cloud Computing specialists - we combine business acumen with tech savvy, and can provide down-to-earth, effective and good business outcomes. Knowing that our client's long-term success is on the horizon adds an extra layer of fulfillment."

Cam, you're a cool, calm and collected guy - are there any challenges you're facing in your work at the moment?

"The current financial climate has led many businesses to tighten their purse strings. This means being more competitive and accounting for every cost – from freight to hardware availability. It's a constantly shifting landscape. We have to be more agile to find the most efficient and effective solutions for our clients."

What do you feel is Geeks on Tap's point of difference?

"I feel that we're not just an IT service provider. We genuinely care about our client companies' well-being. Despite working remotely, we take the time to establish personal connections and collaborate closely with the businesses we serve."

You've been with us at Workspace for over 18 months - what have you found to be the benefits of the Workspace Barossa community?

"It helps alleviate the sense of isolation that remote work can sometimes bring. There's a real connection with others here."

What do you like about your work being flexible?

"Flexibility isn't just about work. It's about seamlessly fitting work, family, school, sports – everything into a balanced day."

What have you found to be the unexpected benefits of coworking?

"Being part of Workspace Barossa has opened my eyes to the diversity of talents right here in the area. It's broadened my horizons and allowed me to learn from others' experiences."
